While I don't think creating New Years Resolutions is the best way to accomplish goals (you can read about that here!), I am a big believer in growth, personal-development, and setting intentions to improve.
So, do you want to be a more productive, organized, and healthy mama in 2018?? A few months ago, I played the Minimalism Game, created by The Minimalists (2 guys who have helped over a very large number of people increase meaning in their lives by reducing the amount of shit they own. Genius, right?).
The 30 Day Minimalism Game is super simple. You get rid of excess stuff for 30 days. On the first day, get rid of 1 thing. Day 2, 2 things. 3 items on day 3. And so on. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house (and your life) by midnight each day. It was an illuminating experience and it helped me to get rid of so much crap, which felt amazing. So, if you want to declutter your home in some quick and easy ways, here is a list to help you get started! Ah, the holidays. The most wonderfully stressful time of the year for many people. Spending money, spending time with people you don't always get along with, spending hours on December 24th frantically wrapping and organizing gifts...
It's enough to make any mama a little crazy. But it doesn't have to be that way. Here are my top tips for staying sane and stress-free (as possible) during the holidays. Outsourcing - what the heck is it? Basically, outsourcing is a business practice used by companies to improve efficiency by shifting tasks, operations, jobs, or processes to an external contracted third party for a significant amount of time.
Now, I am a huge promoter of delegating tasks when it comes to motherhood (you can do it all, but that doesn't mean you have to, mama!). So, here are 5 tasks that you can outsource to increase your efficiency and, honestly, just enjoy your life more. In just a couple of days, I will be celebrating my 30th birthday. Can I just say...
Whoa. 30 seems big. It seems different. It seems like the edge of change. Honestly, 29 has been a heart-breaking year of struggle and I am ready for something new. And to celebrate this new decade, here are 30 things I've learned over the past 30 years.

Personal development days were a common occurrence during my 5 years as a teacher. Growth in the profession, educating ourselves on trends, and learning to be better... these things were all emphasized in the career.
Now, as a mama, I don't have government-mandated PD days (although, now that I've written it, I think this should be a thing! Imagine it, moms getting together for the day to drink wine, talk about the crazy things their kids have done, and learn together so that they can Mom better? I'm onto something here!!). Since this isn't a real thing (yet), I've turned to personal development books to help me learn the things I need to be a better wife, mom, and overall human. That's the goal, right? These are my top 5 recommendations for personal development books every mom needs to read! Success leaves clues. One of the best ways to find new strategies to implement, as a mama or as a business owner, is to learn from others who are doing amazing things in both. So, welcome to the first edition in a new series: The Mompreneur Spotlight.
And who better to kick off this series than the incredible woman who inspired me to start my own business in the first place? “Learn to be thankful for what you already have, while you pursue all that you want.” — Jim Rohn Scientific evidence has proven that practicing an attitude of gratitude can have positive effects on a persons life. So, what are the benefits? And how the heck can YOU improve your life with gratitude? Read on, my friend!
Ok, my latest obsession? Essential oils. I'd been hearing more and more about them all over social media and I had to try them (I justified my purchases to my husband as important research). Then, one of my best friends since elementary school AND the founder of Plum Tree Essential Oils started sharing her knowledge with me and I am HOOKED! So, I asked her to share with me (and YOU!) the top essential oils that moms must have!
