The first month of 2018 is pretty much over - which means February is here! To celebrate the month of looooove, I created a Month of Self-Care Calendar. You can download the PDF copy below AND make sure to jump into our free FB community where we'll be talking in more detail about these acts of self-care.

Let me be straight up with you: multitasking doesn't work, no matter how hard my husband or the children in our home attempt to argue with me that it does. Your brain literally cannot focus on more than one thing at once. Plus, feeling scattered, overwhelmed, or pulled in a million directions is just not a good time.
So, get your single-tasking on with TIME BLOCKING! By focusing a certain amount of time to one task, you can actually get MORE done.
At the beginning of last week, for a couple of scary days, I lost my website. It was a technological nightmare and it threw me way off my blogging schedule (and sort of out of my mind. Just a little bit.)
Then, near the end of the week, I launched my brand new journal on Amazon, The Gratitude Experiment - it's a 30 day experiment designed to help anyone create a daily practice of gratitude. But, I'm back, and here to talk about one of my favourite things in the world, something I can't imagine living without: Amazon Prime.

For the first 18 months of my daughter's life, we lived in chaos. I struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety and I rarely had the energy to effectively clean and organize our home. I was easily overwhelmed.
However, over the past year, I have established a system in our home that works to avoid that overwhelm. Ch-ch-ch-check it out: top tips to tackle the mess. Some days are harder than others, right? I can't be the only mom who occasionally stares at the clock waiting for her husband to come home, who feels like bedtime just can't come soon enough, who kind of struggles just to get through the really hard days.
When those days come around, the Hard Mom Days, I find comfort in: my favourite FB mom group, really big cups of coffee, and inspirational quotes. Here are some of my favourites for your own Hard Mom Days.
Chronic procrastinator, reporting for duty! In university, I told myself that I worked best under pressure and that all-nighters added excitement to my life. I have fallen into the Netflix-portal of "Just one more episode," too many times to count. I would put off adulting in favour of scrolling Facebook.
But, now, I am a reformed procrastinator, just over here living my most productive life. The cool thing is, you can too. Here are my top tips for cutting out procrastination (and, therefore, being a more productive human)!

At the end of 2017, I decided to go ALL IN on my blog. I have always loved writing and creating content is my favourite part of having an online business ... so, it kind of just made sense, ya know? I've been a work-from-home-mama since my daughter was born and I realized that my blog was a totally under-utilized tool with some crazy awesome potential.
On November 5th, I purchased Melyssa Griffin's course, Pinfinite Growth. Melyssa Griffin is an inspiring online educator, who teaches online entrepreneurs and bloggers how to turn their passion into profit (sign me up, right?). I began implementing her strategies almost immediately, overhauling my Pinterest account and adjusting the way I wrote on my blog. Oh, and actually writing on it - you'll notice from the archives some gaping holes that I will affectionally refer to from now on as The Lost Months. Consistency has been key and I'm excited to share some of the things I've learned and how it's changed the impact my blog has had. (Yeah, bloggers write Income Reports and someday I'll get there because I'm a big fan of transparency, but considering I made about $30 from my blog, we'll wait until I'm actually monetizing, shall we?) Now, I don't want to post recipes with paragraphs and paragraphs to scroll through before you get to the goods (in this case, these incredible, healthy, little peppermint bites). This recipe has quickly become my favourite and, when I need a pick-me-up mid-afternoon, grabbing one of these little cups is literal perfection.
So, without further ado, ladies and gentleman... the recipe. Over here, 2017 wasn't exactly easy but that doesn't mean there weren't some pretty freakin' great moments. I'm heading into 2018 with some crazy big goals but first, I thought it would be fun to review 2017. So, if you want to see how the past year was for us over in the Edwards house, for our family and the biz... keep reading!
