The end of 2017 is here and with just a few days until 2018, I know I am reflecting, journaling, and setting my intentions for the new year. Want some journal prompts to help you do the same? Check them out here! And one of my favourite ways to dig deep and find inspiration is to read - so, here are the best quotes to help you ring in 2018! "Tomorrow, is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one." - Brad Paisley "Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right." - Oprah Winfrey "We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day." - Edith Lovejoy Pierce "I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something. So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it. Make your mistakes, next year and forever." - Neil Gaiman "In the New Year, never forget to thank to your past years because they enabled you to reach today! Without the stairs of the past, you cannot arrive at the future!" - Mehmet Murat ildan "Make New Year's goals. Dig within, and discover what you would like to have happen in your life this year. This helps you do your part. It is an affirmation that you're interested in fully living life in the year to come. Goals give us direction. They put a powerful force into play on a universal, conscious, and subconscious level. Goals give our life direction. What would you like to have happen in your life this year? What would you like to do, to accomplish? What good would you like to attract into your life? What particular areas of growth would you like to have happen to you? What blocks, or character defects, would you like to have removed? What would you like to attain? Little things and big things? Where would you like to go? What would you like to have happen in friendship and love? What would you like to have happen in your family life? What problems would you like to see solved? What decisions would you like to make? What would you like to happen in your career? Write it down. Take a piece of paper, a few hours of your time, and write it all down - as an affirmation of you, your life, and your ability to choose. Then let it go. The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals." - Melody Beattie "Every time you tear a leaf off a calendar, you present a new place for new ideas." - Charles Kettering "Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year." - Ralph Waldo Emerson "Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach." - Tony Robbins "May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful and don't forget to make some art - write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself." - Neil Gaiman "Dear world, I am excited to be alive in you, and I am thankful for another year." - Charlotte Eriksson
"I am grateful for all that this year has given me, including the lessons it has given to my soul. This year I will be kinder and more compassionate to myself and to all beings. I will stop being so hard on me. I will laugh more. I will unplug more. I will shift into my heart more. I will make the time to connect to the Divine and feed my spirit. I will let go of the small stuff. I will surround myself with uplifting people and activities. This is my truth and so it is. Amen." - Eileen Anglin "If you asked me for my New Year Resolution, it would be to find out who I am." - Cyril Cusack "I hope you will have a wonderful year, that you'll dream dangerously and outrageously, that you'll make something that didn't exist before you made it, that you will be loved and that you will be liked, and that you will have people to love and to like in return. And, most importantly (because I think there should be more kindness and more wisdom in the world right now), that you will, when you need to be, be wise, and that you will always be kind." - Neil Gaiman "New Year's Day. A fresh start. A new chapter in life waiting to be written. New questions to be asked, embraced, and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in this transformative year of delight and self-discovery. Today carve out a quiet interlude for yourself in which to dream, pen in hand. Only dreams give birth to change." - Sarah Ban Breathnach
