Look, I'm no parenting expert. I'm about to tell you about our toddler bedtime routine; I cannot guarantee that what we will do will work magic in your home. Heck, I can't even guarantee for myself that these methods will work on our wild child 100% of the time. But these are things that we do to help make bedtime a little bit easier for a spirited child who hates sleep. Honestly, I believe it all comes down to the routine. By following the same steps every single day, it helps her settle in for the night.

We've had a tough week, I'm not going to lie. My toddler got sick, then my husband got sick; I can slowly feel myself catching their cold. We learned that the family that moved into our childhood home and adopted our cat (to avoid an unnecessary, stressful move from small town to big city) had surrendered him to the Humane Society and he was not doing well. Then, the brakes on my car started making a very sketchy noise. Oh, and my website went down - yes, again. The issues should be resolved now (fingers crossed). It was Stress City up in here.
So, when life hands you a ton of lemons, how can you turn them into lemonade?
Chronic procrastinator, reporting for duty! In university, I told myself that I worked best under pressure and that all-nighters added excitement to my life. I have fallen into the Netflix-portal of "Just one more episode," too many times to count. I would put off adulting in favour of scrolling Facebook.
But, now, I am a reformed procrastinator, just over here living my most productive life. The cool thing is, you can too. Here are my top tips for cutting out procrastination (and, therefore, being a more productive human)!

Over here, 2017 wasn't exactly easy but that doesn't mean there weren't some pretty freakin' great moments. I'm heading into 2018 with some crazy big goals but first, I thought it would be fun to review 2017. So, if you want to see how the past year was for us over in the Edwards house, for our family and the biz... keep reading!
While I don't think creating New Years Resolutions is the best way to accomplish goals (you can read about that here!), I am a big believer in growth, personal-development, and setting intentions to improve.
So, do you want to be a more productive, organized, and healthy mama in 2018?? Outsourcing - what the heck is it? Basically, outsourcing is a business practice used by companies to improve efficiency by shifting tasks, operations, jobs, or processes to an external contracted third party for a significant amount of time.
Now, I am a huge promoter of delegating tasks when it comes to motherhood (you can do it all, but that doesn't mean you have to, mama!). So, here are 5 tasks that you can outsource to increase your efficiency and, honestly, just enjoy your life more. In just a couple of days, I will be celebrating my 30th birthday. Can I just say...
Whoa. 30 seems big. It seems different. It seems like the edge of change. Honestly, 29 has been a heart-breaking year of struggle and I am ready for something new. And to celebrate this new decade, here are 30 things I've learned over the past 30 years.
Ok, my latest obsession? Essential oils. I'd been hearing more and more about them all over social media and I had to try them (I justified my purchases to my husband as important research). Then, one of my best friends since elementary school AND the founder of Plum Tree Essential Oils started sharing her knowledge with me and I am HOOKED! So, I asked her to share with me (and YOU!) the top essential oils that moms must have!
Mommin' ain't easy and some days are harder than others. When you're in need of some quick inspiration on a particularly hectic day, or a pick-me-up as you face yet another mess, or some encouragement when you start to lose heart... these quotes are the perfect thing to read.
You've got this, mama. At the beginning of December, our Elf on the Shelf returned with Gratitude Jars for each member of the family; for the past week, we've been feeling these jars with thankfulness, kind words, and love. (You can read all about it here!)
