Success leaves clues. One of the best ways to find new strategies to implement, as a mama or as a business owner, is to learn from others who are doing amazing things in both. So, welcome to the first edition in a new series: The Mompreneur Spotlight. And who better to kick off this series than the incredible woman who inspired me to start my own business in the first place? Meet Sarah KaminskiSarah is a wife and mama from Pittsburgh, with close ties to her family and friends. She is a Yogi and gardener, who enjoys spending time on the trails and on the beach. In 2016, she left her teaching job to continue to build her business as the sole proprietor at Sarah Kaminski: Working from the Inside Out. She says: "This is my Holistic Health Coaching business and my main focus! I also have a tee shirt line, The Veg Out Project, inspired to show others that a healthy lifestyle does not have to suck; it can, in fact, be fun and fabulous!" A Whole Body Approach to HealthSarah teaches her clients that a whole body approach to health has the power to heal. "It was my journey to healing that inspired me to guide women in radically improving their health through emotional support, nutritional coaching and specific mind-body techniques." She began her business with a network marketing company in 2015, which provided a bridge to personal growth, lessons in running a business, and the confidence to break free and follow her true passions. As a holistic health coach, "every day is an opportunity to guide a client through a major breakthrough that will change their life." The Struggle SideOwning a business is not without it's struggles and the entreprepreneur rollercoaster ride has it's fair share of ups and downs. We asked Sarah about her struggles as a business owner and how she has overcome them: "I am big goal setter and visionary, so when I miss a goal, I tend to be hard on myself. I've learned that the lessons learned on the journey are more important than reaching the end goal. There are so many lessons along the way and we must stay reflective and open to learning throughout the process." Inspiration & AdviceWhere do you go for inspiration? Outside. Fresh air and sunshine are good for the mind, body and soul! What is the best advice you've ever received for motherhood? Put on your oxygen mask first. What is one thing you wish every mama business owner knew? It will not be easy! There will days of self doubt, days of struggle, tears, "what ifs" or "should haves." Trust that you are on the right path. How do you deal with the days that are really hard? And on days that are tough, I ask myself 3 questions; What am I grateful for? What did I do right? What do I want to attract? More often than not, I'm doing a better job than I am giving myself credit for. Where can You Connect With Sarah?Sarah worked with me to radically improve my own health after I became a mama, through emotional support, nutritional coaching, and specific mind-body techniques. After my first 3 weeks of working with her, I had lost 9 pounds and 11 inches ... but, more importantly, I gained confidence in myself, improved my relationship with food, and improved my quality of life as a new mother.
Now, her personalized 1:1 coaching experience enables women to eat healthier, lose weight, maintain a balanced mood with increased energy levels, and live an overall vibrant life! These personal improvements are especially important during the different life stages our bodies go through. You can find her at www.sarahkaminski.com
