Burnt out. Exhausted. Ready for a beach vacation or a break-down or, maybe, both. Look, mama, I've been there. I get it. I've done the 1am googling of "is it normal for my newborn to ______." I've struggled through some days with only YouTube Kids as my sanity-saver, so I could sit in the bathroom for 5 minutes in silence. I've watched the clock and wished the day away ... and then beat myself up for it.
So, if you're at the end of your rope and feeling the need for some inspiration, I want to share with you some of the books I've loved to lift my spirits, challenge my mindset, and offer hope on the hardest mama days. Hit up your local library or consider downloading and listening from Audible (then, you can listen while you drive, do laundry, or try not to lose your shit). The other day, I asked on Instagram (I'm obsessed with IG stories), "What would you like to see on the blog?" I got some great feedback and, to be honest, I am pretty excited to write some posts this month. Up first? On-the-go meals that don't break the bank! I'm talking perfect for working moms, those back-to-school lunches, parents who feel like they're running a taxi service out of their car, university students with crazy schedules, and anyone else who has to take lunch and snacks to go. Are you thinking what I'm thinking, friends? Let's round up these recipes, shall we?!
