Why Every Mom Needs Amazon Prime
At the beginning of last week, for a couple of scary days, I lost my website. It was a technological nightmare and it threw me way off my blogging schedule (and sort of out of my mind. Just a little bit.)
Then, near the end of the week, I launched my brand new journal on Amazon, The Gratitude Experiment - it's a 30 day experiment designed to help anyone create a daily practice of gratitude.
But, I'm back, and here to talk about one of my favourite things in the world, something I can't imagine living without: Amazon Prime.
I may earn a small commission for my endorsement, recommendation, testimonial, and/or link to any products or services from this website. Your purchase helps support my work in bringing you real information about a more productive, balanced life. I will never recommend anything that I don't use and love myself.
Amazon Prime is the best of everything Amazon has to offer, at the super reasonable price of $79 in Canada or $99 in the US. Here are the top reasons every mom should have Amazon Prime.
1. Free, Fast Shipping
2-day shipping? Yes, please! Sometimes, you can actually get 1-day shipping on certain items as well! In Canada, there is a minimum order to qualify for free shipping (but, I mean, who doesn't have $25 worth of stuff they need from Amazon), but in the US, there isn't.
If you do the majority of your shopping on Amazon, the delivery fees you save soon covers the cost of the annual fee.
2. Amazon Music
The other day, the kids were trying to convince us that we should pay for them to get Apple Music or upgrade their Spotify account. Uh, no way, kids! With our Prime membership, we get Amazon music - free streaming, commercial free, of over 2-million songs!
And our toddler loves it when Alexa plays Elmo's version of The Wheels on the Bus. (Oh, I loooove Alexa! That's another post for another day, though.)
3. Video Streaming
Did you know that Amazon has their own video streaming service, just like Netflix?? With the annual Canadian cost, it works out to less than $7 a month - I'm paying more than that for Netflix and I don't even get free 2-day shipping! With TV shows and movies (including some of my favourites that aren't even on Netflix) and the ability to download and watch offline, this service pays for itself!
4. Amazon Family
Amazon Prime members save 20% on diaper subscriptions (imagine never having to go to the store for diapers, they just show up when you need them!!), get access to special Family Deals AND Family Coupons. You'll quickly cover the cost of your annual membership and continue to save money with these options.
5. Prime Photos
Do you take a lot of pictures of your kids? I do. Like, so many. I actually had to upgrade my iPhone to one with more storage because I was constantly having to delete apps from my phone to make room for more pictures.
Well, turns out, I didn't actually need to be constantly deleting Facebook messenger just to record sweet moments of my toddler. With a Prime Membership, you get unlimited photo storage with Amazon drive.
Prime Photos from Amazon lets you back up, organize, and share all of the photos and videos from your phone, computer, and other devices. You can access all your photos on nearly any device and share them with family and friends. This photo storage app keeps your photos and videos safe, even if your phone is lost or damaged. Once your photos are stored in Prime Photos, you can delete them from your device to make room on your phone. Once your photos have been saved to Prime Photos, you can access them from nearly any device. Finally get the photos from your old laptop, your phone, and your desktop together in one safe place.
Um, yes please!!
