I'll be honest. I spent all day debating what the ONE thing I wanted to get rid of today would be. It felt like it needed to be important. Monumental, even.
Yesterday, I unpacked a trunk of stuff that my parents had sent to us. They sold their house a few weeks ago and they played their own Minimalism Game (where they sent everything they didn't want here). There are things I haven't looked at since I moved away from home 10 years ago.
So, this is The One Thing. My day 1 garbage. My name, cut into a piece of wood by my high school boyfriend.
Honestly, it probably would have lived in a box in my basement for 10 more years, but I spotted it on the ground at 4:30pm today and realized that it is the perfect thing to start 30 days of getting rid of shit I don't need.
29 days and 464 things to go.
