Can I let you in on a secret? Losing weight ... doesn't have to suck! You don't have to workout in the gym for hours (or at all, if you don't want to). You don't have to count calories, cut out foods you love, or deprive yourself. It really is possible to lose weight happily and it all comes down to learning simple and effective nutrition strategies, behaviour patterns, plate-visualization methods, and acquired self-awareness tools.

Ditch the Yo-Yo Diet

I lived the yo-yo for years. I would be on track for months and then I would end up derailed by a vacation or a stressful situation (where my emotional eaters at?!) or, let's be honest, Christmas cookies.

That's why learning mindful eating can be life-changing! This style of eating (where no food is ever off-limits) is for you if:
  • you want to lose weight but exercise is the literal bane of your existance
  • you love food (like they say you should eat to live, but you kind of want to live to eat)
  • you are so freakin' tired of yo-yo dieting and you feel like you're forever following some crazy rules that make you miserable
  • you want an easy-to-follow way to lose weight without strict rules (no cutting food groups, counting calories, or eating teeny-tiny portions)
  • you can't exercise because of an injury or illness but you still want to feel good with your food choices and maintain your weight through better eating habits
  • you, like me, have experienced struggles with emotional eating and you just want to be free from obsessing about food and eating your feelings

Finding Food Freedom

It's all about creating the right mindset and improving your relationship with food. I've been there, I've had these struggles, and I know how life-changing it can be when you finally find food freedom. That is why I am so freakin' excited to announce that in May I will be running a Food Freedom Support Group, for women who want to feel like they are in control of their eating habits (rather than controlled by their emotions). I'm talking long-run, baby, not just some quick fix that'll have you put the weight back on just as fast.

It is possible to lose weight happily with these tools. If you join our group, you'll get:
  • 21 videos to teach you the basic principles of this mindset shift. This includes education on food groups, what to eat and when, as well as real-life strategies for different situations
  • 5 videos to overcome common weight-loss struggles, which offer advice on the challenges we all face.
  • 15 recipe videos that will teach you to cook time-saving, delicious, easy, and satisfying meals in no time
  • A guidebook that gives you step-by-step instructions to get your weight-loss journey started
  • A 30 recipe cookbook
  • A tracking guide for your food and progress. What I love about this is that it's not just about a number on a scale. You learn about key indicators that play a role in helping you achieve your goals.
  • A water bottle (because when you drink more water, you tend to lose more weight. Yes please!) and a shaker cup (perfect if you're a busy mama who needs to take a meal on the go and doesn't want to hit up a drive-through)
  • A 30-day supply of my favourite nutrition supplement

Wait, I love to Exercise? Can I do this?

Girl, get down with your bad self! You don't have to quit doing something you love and you can absolutely improve your relationship with food. Exercise is not a requirement; it's like extra-credit.

Hi Susan! This program is not free of charge; it's a very detailed curriculum created by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. You get a number of resources as well sent to you. I got your application and I can send you some suggestions of free resources that might work for you, as well as answer any questions you might have about the program if you decide you want to invest in yourself!
