Writing has been one of my passions since I wrote my first poem in a pink diary as a 4th grader. It went something like "Someday I'll wake up/ Take a drink from my coffee cup/ And, hey, I'll feel all grown up./ I am not your little girl,/ I'll live to love and see/ You can't take my life away from me."

Ok, I didn't say it was a good poem. (And it must have been a rough day for 9 year old me...)

But writing through my emotions has stayed with me ever since that day in my green-carpeted playroom. And for a long time, I didn't think writing was anything but something to pass the time, to spill my thoughts, to reflect on my love and loss. Something inside me told me that because I only wrote about those things, about love and loss, that it was trivial and unimportant.

In the past 2 years, I've learned a lot about myself. I've shared my passion, my joy, my pain, and my heart freely on social media. I've written daily about the things I feel, the struggles and celebrations. And I've realized that writing is something I will always love to do, something I will always want to share.

So, thank you. For being here, for taking the time to download this super short collection of prose and poems. I hope it makes you feel something.
